It's a challenge for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

We're talking about the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and once went over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the record chasers, are the only things left for a side that has won it all.

The fact it required until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the past 50 years.

It's difficult for their batsmen to hold a record if never given the opportunity.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the title decider and was named player of the tournament. She guaranteed her country would not fall short again.

Whether this recent magnificent innings topped that previous effort remains open for discussion.

Some will argue the case for final game tension. Others can counter with the challenge that comes when confronting a historic chase and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's clear is this ton was considerably tougher to anticipate.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 occurred when she topped the run-scoring charts, but this knock came after six matches in India over the past few weeks in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've been watching me in practice sessions, it was a challenging time because it appeared I lacked timing whatsoever," said Healy.

"But once you step out on the field, your competitive instincts activate and you just lock into the contest."

Healy's fighting spirit has consistently been her major advantage - and an invaluable trait in succeeding legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, fallen to the 22-year-old seamer in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's inspiration.

A single was taken off Gaud's first delivery and after that the right-hander was on her way.

"An opportunity to take the field and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself in that aspect, somewhat inspired me," said Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 as she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

When she was removed the team required another 66 at run per delivery - an achievable target now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the belief to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if we do, we are confident we can achieve it."

That comment will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this World Cup should hear.

During the last week a feeling they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this success succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with longtime competitors England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may well be secure.
